What the dickens, fat Brits!

United Kingdom,Health/Medicine, Mon, 17 Sep 2012 IANS

London, Sep 17 (IANS) One in three British men has turned so potbellied that they cannot even see their dick -- these men are potentially dangerously overweight and risk knocking up to nine years off their lifespan through strokes, diabetes and heart disease, a new study has revealed.

The study, commissioned by WeLoveOurHealth.co.uk, surveyed 1,000 men and found that a stunning 33 percent of 35 to 60-year-olds are so overweight that their manhood is hidden from sight when they stand upright and look downwards, The Sun reported.

The figures show over 5.6 million men in Britain are potentially dangerously overweight and risk knocking up to nine years off their lifespan through strokes, diabetes and heart disease.

A staggering 44 percent of those aged between 51 and 60 fail the "spot the penis" test, it was found.

Obese men who are unable see their penises are said to be five times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes and three times more likely to develop cancer of the colon.

Du Pleiss, who also works as WeLoveOurHealth.co.uk's online doctor, said: "This new research is really worrying. And men must be encouraged to wake up to the potential life-threatening risks of being overweight and to make this vital check."
