Islamabad, Sept. 16 (ANI): The prosecution in the Malik Riaz contempt of court case has submitted a list of witnesses, including the names of the Pakistan Chief Justice and former prime minister.
The list of witnesses includes the names of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudry, his son Arsalan Iftikhar, Registrar Faqeer Hussain, Suleman Ahmed, former premier Yousuf Raza Gillani and Ahmed Khalil, reports The Express Tribune.
The evidence comprises of transcript and a compact disk containing a recording of Malik Riaz's press conference.
Riaz's lawyer Dr Abdul Basit said if the name of chief justice and his son is not present in the list of witnesses, he would request that they are called as witnesses in court.
According to sources, the attorney general has also submitted evidence besides the list of witnesses in the case. (ANI)
