Black Caps coach's analytical approach will be tested in Hyderabad Test

Hyderabad, Aug 23 (ANI): New Zealand's new coach Mike Hesson's analytical approach will be tested in his first match as in charge today.

More analysis, more homework and more hard work appear to be the immediate impact that new coach has had on the New Zealand cricket team.

Skipper Ross Taylor said while the side did "a little bit" of analysis under recently departed coach John Wright, the Hesson way is far more analytical.

"It's an area we did a little bit when we played under Wrighty, but under Hess, we're looking into the planning and structure around our game plan and how we assess each member of the opposition in greater detail. It's an area I thought we could improve," Taylor said.

He revealed Kane Williamson would move up the order to first drop behind openers Martin Guptill and Brendon McCullum, stuff.co.nz reports.

Taylor will stay at No 4 with Daniel Flynn behind him and Wellington's recalled all-rounder James Franklin rounding out the top six.

India is without Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman, but still drip with talent including Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan. (ANI)
