Full moon pictured rising in `perfect sync` with Olympic ring in London

New York, August 5 (ANI): A breathtaking snap showing the full moon and multi-coloured Olympic rings in perfect alignment has become an instant hit on Twitter.

A photographer clicked the picture on August 3, when the full moon was rising through the Olympic rings hanging beneath the iconic Tower Bridge that spans the River Thames.

The snap shows the moon forming a "sixth ring" in the logo, the New York Daily News reported.

While some of the astounded twitter users went gaga over the snap, for others it was just an opportunity to take a jab at the International Olympic Committee, which has ruffled feathers by being extra vigilant regarding the use of its name and slogans.

"Love it! Even the moon is getting in on the London Olympics! " one fan tweeted.

"Brilliant," another posted.

"Now the moon gets sued by IOC for logo infringement," one sarcastic user joked. (ANI)
