Three Pakistanis held for selling fake train tickets

Islamabad, Aug 3 (IANS) Three officers of the Pakistan Railways have been held for selling fake tickets worth Rs.19.5 million, a media report said.

The fake train tickets were sold during the last couple of months, reported Dawn from Lahore.

Three officers of the Pakistan Railways have been taken into custody, said Munir Ahmad Chishti, an official.

Chishti said a significant drop in income from the Khanpur station alerted the railway authorities, who asked the police to probe.

Preliminary probe showed that the officials sold fake tickets to passengers and pocket the money.
