Myanmar to host livestock technology fair

Yangon, July 27 (IANS) An international fishery and livestock technology trade fair will be held in Myanmar, the government said Friday.

The fair, to be held Dec 7-8, will feature some of the latest technologies of the sector, Xinhua reported.

Myanmar's marine exports reached $125 million in April-June period this year, up $12.59 million or 11 percent year-on-year.

The figure for 2011-12 fiscal year stood at $522 million.

There are over 70 fish cold storage facilities in Yangon, of which 23 are in operation.
