'Lightning' Bolt targets breaking own '9.58 sec' world-record at London Olympics

London, July 11 (ANI): Olympic sprinter Usain Bolt is targeting to break his own world record and achieve new heights at the London 2012 Olympics.

The Jamaican star can attain a legendary status at the Olympics, but faces the toughest lineup of opponents ever, including himself, as he shared his plans to further push the 'boundaries of human potential'.

"I won't lie to myself, people are looking forward to me running 9.4, anything that's amazing. That's why people are coming to the Olympics. I want to do that," the Daily Mirror quoted Botl, as saying.

Bolt, 25, built his multi-million pound brand around the time of 9.58secs he clocked to win the 100m at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin.

At Jamaica's Olympic trials, Bolt was beaten in both the 100 and 200m by training partner Yohan Blake.

After Blake, 21, created a 9.69secs world record in the Beijing Olympic final despite slowing down to showboat 20m from the line, Bolt followed up with his 9.58 glory dash in Germany, a year later.

"It doesn't get any cooler than knowing you are the fastest of them all. The fastest man in the world. Never, ever do I get tired of hearing that," Bolt added. (ANI)
