Chantelle Houghton gushes about 'beautiful' daughter

London, June 19 (ANI): Chantelle Houghton has spoken for the first time about her baby daughter, saying "she's so beautiful!"

Writing in her column for New! magazine, the 28-year-old glamour model said that she was so happy that she had finally given birth.

"I'm so happy and excited my baby is finally here!" the Daily Mail quoted her as writing.

"In the days leading up to the birth, I had been waking up at 5.30am worrying about it - I was so frightened. I had a hospital appointment last Tuesday and they told me her head was engaged.

"At that point the doctor actually decided against giving me an internal examination because she didn't want me to freak out if she had to tell me that my cervix was opening!" she said.

But Houghton said that she thought it was funny because she had been waiting so long to meet her little girl - but then didn't want to go through with the birth.

"A month ago I couldn't wait to have the baby as I was fed up of being pregnant but, as my due date got nearer, I decided I was actually happy for her to stay in there for a bit longer!" she said.

Houghton gave birth to her and fiance Reid's first child on Sunday, which also happened to be Father's Day. (ANI)
