London, June 14 (ANI): Manchester United new signing Shinji Kagawa has said boss Sir Alex Ferguson is one of the main reasons, which convinced him to sign for the 19-time English Premier League champions.

The Japanese international will move to Old Trafford for an initial 12 million pounds once he passes a medical.

The former Borussia Dortmund winger said when a legendary manager like Ferguson shows interest in you, it is difficult to say no.

"Manchester were the first to make me a formal offer. And the more I talked to them, the more I felt Manchester was the place for me to be," The Sun quoted Kagawa, as saying.

"I met Ferguson and contacted him a few times afterwards. He told me 'I would love it if you could take on this challenge'. And when a legendary man like him says that to you, it carries weight," he added. (ANI)
