Moscow, June 7 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Croatia midfielder Niko Kranjcar has signed a four-year contract with Dynamo Kiev after moving from Tottenham Hotspur, the Ukrainian club has said.
Kranjcar is with the Croatian national side ahead of their Euro 2012 opener and is Dynamo's first signing of the summer.
"His skill and ambition will be useful to Dynamo. Don't be surprised if he becomes the leader of our team," Kranjcar's Dynamo and Croatia teammate Ognjen Vukojevic said on the club website.
Kranjcar had queried Vukojevic in detail about the club and the Ukrainian league before signing in Warsaw on Wednesday night, holding midfielder Vukojevic said.
Since joining Tottenham from Portsmouth in 2009, Kranjcar made 71 appearances for the North London club, scoring 12 goals.
Dynamo Kiev narrowly missed out on a 14th Ukrainian title last season after losing a fierce battle for the trophy to Shakhtar Donetsk and will enter next season's Champions League in the third qualifying round.
