Mohmand Agency, Tue, 05 Jun 2012 ANI

Mohmand Agency, June 5 (ANI): A militant attack at a checkpost in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area of Salala, has killed four security personnel.

Retaliatory firing by security personnel killed 20 militants, reports The Dawn.

No government official was available to verify the incident.

The Salala border checkpost gained international exposure after a U.S. military helicopter attacked a Pakistan military checkpost killing 24 soldiers in November last year, as a result of which Pakistan blocked NATO supply routes.

Pakistan has been demanding an apology for the incident as a pre-condition to restore NATO supplies. (ANI)
