Lahore, June 5 (ANI): Eight players of the Pakistan cricket team have signed the central contracts offered to them by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Pakistan's newly appointed Twenty20 skipper Mohammad Hafeez, former captain Shoaib Malik and off-spinner Saeed Ajmal are among the eight players who have signed the contract, reports the Daily Times.
PCB sources confirmed that Malik and other players signed the contracts after learning that the PCB had rejected demands of some of the players to further increase their salaries.
The PCB had earlier announced a 25 percent raise in the monthly central contract retainers and another 10 percent hike in match fees.
Meanwhile, sources also said senior players like Misbah ul Haq, Younus Khan and Shahid Afridi have not signed their contracts as they are consulting their legal advisors before signing on the dotted line. (ANI)
