Sydney, May 27(ANI): Australia captain Michael Clarke has said he is looking forward to participating in more rally races after a successful debut with International Rally of Queensland. He drove a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo in two stages of the rally.

In spite of having never driven that car before, he impressed his team and experienced navigator Mark Stacey, who is a former Australian champion, with how quickly he got the hang of the new sport.

Clarke said driving through the rally was one of the toughest challenges he had faced.

"It was as hard as I thought," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Clarke, as saying.

"I've always had a lot of respect for any driver - formula one, V8s, rally - but I've always thought rally driving would be the hardest. Having experienced it, I have the utmost respect for it and the successful rally drivers, because it is so hard to get on the gravel and control the car; at pace as well," he added. (ANI)
