London, May 12(ANI): Queens Park Rangers striker Djibril Cisse is facing a police investigation after a gang of men outside a cinema attacked a fan.
Cisse got in an argument with Geoffrey Candia, who approached him at the box office requesting for a picture when he was there with his three pals.
After an hour a heavy-built man came and asked for Candia to leave the Vue Cinema in Park Royal, West London.
"Outside we were surrounded by about eight men. They had been waiting in cars. They started shouting, saying they were going to break our legs and kill us," The Sun quoted Candia, as saying.
Candia claimed he was kicked hard at the leg by one of the members of the gang.
Police are viewing CCTV footage of the alleged incident before deciding whether to speak to French international Cisse.
Geoffrey said when he first saw Cisse he wasn't sure it was him so he shouted his name.
"He turned around furiously and said, 'Why are you having a go at me?' I said I wasn't. I just wanted a picture. He said he just wanted a quiet night," Candia said.
Last night Cisse's spokesman said: "There were four guys who started being abusive at the entrance. They were shouting 'Cisse'. He went in and watched the film and they came to apologies. The guys had been a bit lairy. There was no altercation." (ANI)
