London, May 12 (ANI): Two-time defending F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel along with other Formula One drivers, are keeping their expectations in check for Sunday's Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.
"A car that functions well aerodynamically in Barcelona will work everywhere, so it will be an interesting weekend," News.com.au quoted Vettel, as saying.
Mc Laren's Lewis Hamilton, who is looking to rebound from an eighth-place finish in Bahrain, reiterated the same feeling by saying, "Our performance at Barcelona during winter testing looked promising but the form of the season is still very hard to read, so it's difficult to predict who'll be at the front next weekend,"
"I think we have a comparatively stronger car this year, so I hope we can have another strong race," he added.
Spaniard Fernando Alonso, who won in Malaysia but since then finished seventh and ninth to slip down to 10 points behind Vettel alongside McLaren's Jenson Button, echoed the same notion.
"In Montmelo, we will be counting on making a step forward, but we won't know until Saturday if we have, and if so, how big a step it is," he said. (ANI)
