HRCP urges government to search for abducted Hindu from Quetta

Islamabad, April 17 (ANI): The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has urged the government to search and find Dr Rajesh Kumar who was abducted from Quetta on February 13.

The commission, during a meeting with the government, also expressed its concern over the abduction of Hindus in Sindh and Balochistan for ransom in the recent past. he kidnappers have demanded a ransom of Rs 20 million from Kumar's family, The Daily Times reported.

An FIR was registered, but he has not been traced so far.

Dr Kumar is the son of Dr Nand Lal, a member of Quetta Chapter of HRCP and a member of the Pak-India People's Forum for Peace and Democracy.

HRCP officials said the government should make sure that he was unharmed during captivity.

They also urged the government to take appropriate steps to stop the kidnapping of Hindu traders. (ANI)
