Pak probes blind cricketers, management following series defeat against arch rivals India

Karachi, Mon, 09 Apr 2012 ANI

Karachi, Apr 9(ANI): A four-member commission formed to probe the Pakistan blind cricket team's defeat to their Indian counterparts last month, has questioned both players and the team management on the unexpected loss against their arch-rivals.

The world champions, who were the favourites to win the series, lost the one-day and T20 series in Chennai and ended their run of seven successive series victories.

The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) had subsequently formed a committee to probe the loss and has held its first session.

"All the players and officials who took part in the series were questioned. The committee will meet again before sending its recommendations to the council on April 10," The Express Tribune quoted PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah, as saying.

The PBCC is expected to make changes after reviewing the committee's findings to prepare the squad for the blind World Twenty20 Cup in December in India. (ANI)
