Villas-Boas favorite to become Inter Milan's next manager

London, Thu, 15 Mar 2012 ANI

London, Mar 15(ANI): Former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has been marked down by Inter Milan as the right choice to replace current manager Claudio Ranieri, who had managed Chelsea previously.

According to sources in Italy, Ranieri is already living on borrowed time, and the search for a new coach is already underway. The focus is now increasing on Villas-Boas.

Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri has also been linked with the job at Inter Milan, but club president Aurelio De Laurentiis has already warned Milan to keep their hands off Mazzarri.

"There is no truth in the rumours linking our coach with Inter. He has a contract with us, and our working partnership will continue for at least a further year," The Daily Mail quoted an incensed Laurentiis, as saying.

Villas-Boas' availability following his recent axing by Chelsea, and previous record of success at Porto, has put him in pole position to take over, ahead of Mazzarri. (ANI)
