Ahmadinejad says Iran will soon unveil 'very important' nuclear developments

Tehran, Feb 12 (ANI): Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that the country would soon announce 'very important' advances in its nuclear field.

"In the coming days the world will witness Iran's announcement of its very important and very major nuclear achievements," Ahmadinejad said in a speech on the 33rd anniversary of the Islamic revolution.

Tens of thousands of Iranians joined state-organised rallies across the country to mark the occasion.

According to The Telegraph, demonstrators carrying Iranian flags and pictures of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei chanted "Death to Israel" and "Death to America."

Ahmadinejad also said that Iran has broken the 'idol' of the Holocaust, which underpins the creation of the Israeli state and US hegemony.

"The Iranian nation has smashed a new and modern idol. The world arrogance (the United States) and colonialists (the West), in order to dominate the world, created an idol called the Zionist regime (Israel). The spirit of this idol was a story called the Holocaust," he said.

"The Iranian nation with courage and wisdom smashed this idol to free the people of the West (of its hold)," he added. (ANI)
