Washington, Feb.3 (ANI): U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta believes that Israel is just months away from striking Iran, even as the latter continues with its underground nuclear program.
Fox News quoted Panetta as telling the Washington Post that he was worried that Israel may decide to attack Iran as early as this spring.
According to the report, the U.S. Central Command has been planning for the possibility of the U.S. being drawn into the conflict should it take place.
Panetta and the administration have made clear in recent weeks that Iran would cross a "red line" by developing a bomb and that if that occurred, all options, including military action, would be on the table.
On the other hand, Israeli officials' have said that red line would be crossed when Iran has the material to build a bomb. (ANI)
