Indian Parliamentarians visit Pakistan

Wagah, Jan 16 (ANI): A delegation of Indian Parliamentarians, headed by BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, on Monday crossed into Pakistan through Wagah - Attari land border.

 

The delegation comprising 15 Parliamentarians with their families would stay in Pakistan for four days. The visit was on the invitation of Pakistan Government.

 

The delegation is visiting Pakistan aiming to restore peace in the region, and help increase trade between the two countries.

 

Yashwant Sinha said that whatever is happening in Pakistan is the internal affairs of Pakistan.

 

"We will be talking to the members of Pakistan on various issues and as far as India, Pakistan relationship is concern there is a talk between government to government level covering many issues and our focus will be to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries," he said.

 

Other prominent leaders who are in the delegation include Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain, TMC leader Derek O'Brien, NCP leader Supriya Sule and CPI National Secretary D Raja. By Ravinder Singh Robin (ANI)
