Samba misses training after expressing wish to leave

London, Sat, 14 Jan 2012 ANI

London, Jan 14(ANI): Blackburn Rovers captain Christopher Samba has cast further doubts over his future at Ewood Park after he skipped a training session yesterday citing sickness as the reason.

The 12 million pound Samba stunned Rovers on Thursday after he told a French newspaper of his wish to leave.

Rovers manager Steve Kean is expected to hold talks with the center-half to see whether he was in the right frame of mind to play against Fulham tonight, The Sun reports.

Samba clearly said that promises made by new owners Venky's were not kept.

He also feels that the 6.5 million pound offer made by Queens Parks Ranger was fine enough for the club to sell him. He has also welcomed a return to France with Paris St Germain keen to sign him.

Kean, on the other hand, has said Samba is not for sale. (ANI)
