New Delhi, July 1 (ANI): The scientists of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) felicitated ace shuttler Saina Nehwal here on Thursday for winning the third Super Series title in a row.
Presently ranked third in the world, Nehwal registered a thumping victory in Indonesian Open final on June 27.
Applauding her achievements, the entire fraternity of ICAR converged to host a grand reception for Saina Nehwal, who incidentally has been offered to be the brand ambassador of this prime institution.
In response, she expressed her gratitude to ICAR, which she termed as a part of her family since her father is an agriculture scientist.
"I never expected such kind of reception. It's such an honour for me. I am really happy to be here and I must say that the campus of ICAR is really beautiful. It is like a family to me," said Nehwal.
"I am accepting the honour of being brand ambassador of ICAR. I am really a small person for such a grand honour as these organizations have brilliant people to become brand ambassador of ICAR," she added.
Nehwal further said that it was hard work supplemented by her parents' support that had enabled her to reach the top. (ANI)
