Three militants killed in J and K

Srinagar, Sept. 12 (ANI): Three Huji militants, including a self-style commander were killed in a fierce gunbattle with the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district.

According to sources, acting on a tip-off, troops of 11 Rashtriya Rifles launched an operation in Chigam area and in the subsequent encounter killed three militants.

Two of the slain militants have been identified as Saifulla (area commander) and Mohammad Akbar. The identity of the third person is yet to be ascertained.

Rifles, grenades and other explosive materials were recovered from the spot. (ANI)
