Amul donates Rs. one crore-worth milk powder for flood victims of Bihar

Anand (Gujarat), Sept 12 (ANI/Business Wire India): The Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul), the apex body of 13 milk unions of Gujarat having a membership of 27 lakh farmer members has extended a helping hand to the flood victims of Bihar.

 

The Board of GCMMF has decided to provide assistance to flood affected victims in Bihar in the form of skimmed milk powder and UHT milk, amounting to Rs. one crore.

 

We have already dispatched stocks of milk powder and UHT milk worth Rs. 50 lacs and the same has been handed over to the relief commissioner, Govt. of Bihar.

 

The remaining stock worth Rs. 50 lacs would be handed over to the Government of Gujarat from Mother Dairy, Gandhinagar for onward dispatch to Bihar along with the relief material being sent by the Gujarat Government by a special train.
