Nepal PM says government programmes reflects peoples' aspiration

Tue, 01 Jan 2008 ANI

Kathmandu, Sept 10 (ANI): Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday expressed hope that the government's policies and programmes reflected the aspirations of the people from all walks of life.

He said this while talking to journalists after the announcement of the government's policies and programmes at the Constituent Assembly (CA) in Kathmandu, Dahal claimed that the government's annual programmes would be implemented.

"We have tried to address the aspirations and expectations of the people from various sectors," said PM Dahal, adding, "The document is a bit longer as it is the beginning of the process of building a new Nepal."

In the wake of accusations that the government's annual programme is just a Maoist document Dahal said that the programmes should be taken as "all inclusive".

Meanwhile, the government's policies and programmes were commented as being more ambitious and longer than earlier ones. (ANI)
