Farmers clash with police outside Delhi assembly

New Delhi, Sept 10 (ANI): Delhi police fired tear gas on members of the Bhartiya Kisan Union on Wednesday as they turned violent protesting outside Delhi State Assembly.

 

Bhartiya Kisan Union, affiliated to the Bharatiya Janata Party gathered en-masse outside the assembly to meet the representatives to express their grievances.

 

When the farmers were not allowed to meet the representatives, they turned violent and clashed with the police personnel.

 

Police baton charged the protesters and also applied water canons on them to disperse them.

 

Some of the farmers were injuries in the clash. (ANI)
