Lahore, Mar.14 (ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which had slapped hefty fines on several players following a report by the inquiry committee probing the debacle in Australia, has deducted the fine amount from the match fee of the cricketers.

Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Kamran Akmal and his younger brother Umar were all fined for violating the player's code of conduct during the Australia tour, and now they would get a deducted match fee for their recent assignments in Dubai, New Zealand and Australia.

Some of the players had even requested the PCB to not to deduct the fine amount in one stroke and get it done through instalments but the PCB reportedly turned down the request, The Dawn reports.

While all rounder Shahid Afridi and wicket keeper Kamran Akmal have been fined three million rupees each, former captain Shoaib Malik, fast bowler Rana Naved-ul-Hasan and young middle order batsman Umar Akmal has been slapped with a fine of two million each.

Both Malik and Rana Naved have also been ban for one year following the recommendations of the inquiry committee headed by PCB's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Wasim Bari. (ANI)
