London, Aug 27 (ANI): AC Milan's vice president Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Brazilian Ronaldo will leave Rossoneri for English Premier League club, Manchester City.
He told Sky Sport Italia that some players, including Ronaldo and Massimo Oddo, no longer had a place in San Siro.
Galliani confirmed the Ronaldo's transfer to Manchester City, adding that Oddo may also join France's Lyon.
Ronaldo has only played 20 games for AC Milan since he joined the club in January 2007, due to constant injuries and fitness problems.
He is currently recovering from a serious knee injury he suffered in February, the third such occurrence in his career.
Earlier, Manchester City executive chairman Garry Cook revealed last week that he was looking to sign a superstar.
And contact has been made with the former Barcelona and Real Madrid hitman, who is now a free agent after being released by AC Milan in the summer.
Ronaldo, 31, is recovering from a severed knee tendon which he suffered last February.
He is expected to be out until November and City is trying to find out the extent of the problem before making their next move. They also insist the player loses his excess weight and gets fit before any deal is done. (ANI)
