Children's reaction on abduction in Manipur
Imphal, Aug 26 (ANI): The recent forcible recruitment of school children by militant outfits has traumatized the children in Manipur and left them worried about an uncertain future.
Today, whether the children are playing or studying they are always worried about their safety. So are their parents.
"Children are pillars of the nation and if the militants keep doing these evil activities, they will ruin the children's life. So, it will not bring any good to the nation," said Angombi Chandra, a student.
Laxmi, another student added, "I really don't like such kind of atmosphere. It affects our studies."
These children have a dream of achieving something in life. But given the way things are in the state, it is debatable whether their dreams can be realized at all.
"The activities of militants have hampered development. It's because of them the people of Manipur are suffering," Boresh, a student.
Laxmi, a student said, "In future, I would like to see Manipur to be very developed and all should be in unity."
The activities of militants in Manipur have lead to disturbances and closure of schools. And when temples of learning remain closed, it is difficult to think about the growth of the society.
Militancy today is not just linked to normalcy and peace, but the economic well being of Manipur as well. By L.C.K. Singh (ANI)
