London, Aug 24 (ANI): English rock and pop singer turned paedophile Gary Glitter's victims have now come forward to say that they wish they had let him face the firing squad.
The two young Vietnamese girls, who were then 10 and 12 when they were raped by Glitter, claimed that they had been conned into accepting the star's blood money after the abuse came to light.
The two child victims, Tran Thi Thu Diem and Tran Thi Thao Nguyem, came forward on August 23 night and bitterly recounted their ordeal.
"He should have faced the firing squad!" News of the World quoted them as saying.
Glitter had escaped execution in Vietnam after paying off the families of the girls, and ended up spending just three years in jail.
Now, the two girls revealed how they were tricked into taking the 1,000 pounds each which ensured a lesser molestation charge, and both were enraged by the paedophile's arrogant claims that 'his' human rights were abused in a trial which his lawyer outrageously branded a "travesty of justice".
Diem burst into tears when she was told that Glitter had been freed from prison, and wished that she had never taken the bribe money.I thought he was a kindly uncle at first, buying me sweets and toys. Now I realise that he's a very bad man. I wish we'd never taken his dirty money," she said.
As revealed by the court papers, Diem had been sold to Glitter for sex by her vice-girl aunt Oanh at 25 pounds a time. Nguyen, who suffered the same fate at the pop star's hands, was equally bitter about the whole ordeal.
"He deserves to die. It wasn't just me and Diem. There were lots of other girls the police never found out about," she said
"I still have nightmares about what happened. I'm terrified he'll come back to Vietnam one day and find me. They should have put him to death for what he did to us. He's pure evil," she added.
Nguyen had been recruited into Glitter's 'gang' of young girls by a teenage friend of hers called Bong. (ANI)
