Jammu, August 21 (ANI): Continuing with their protests over the shrine land row demonstrators ransacked a vehicle of the State's Food and Supplies Department on Thursday in Jammu.
Situation remained tense although there was no day curfew in the region, as protesters tried to block the roads and prevented vehicular movement in the city.
The commuters were stopped enroute by the protesters and made to return.
The protesters ransacked a vehicle belonging to State's Food and Supplies Department, carrying supplies for public distribution.
Earlier in the day, the protesters had also burnt and damaged few vehicles, one of them belonging to senior leader of Central ruling Congress party and former Deputy Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mangat Ram Sharma.
