London, Oct. 9 (ANI): England striker Wayne Rooney has no plans to attend the birth of his first child, as he is away in Ukraine playing for team's World Cup qualifier.
Rooney's wife Coleen is not due for another fortnight. So, the striker set aside any concerns that she may go into labour early and boarded the flight taking England to Dnepropetrovsk for Saturday's match, The Telegraph reports. ooney, whose team has already qualified for World Cup finals in South Africa, suggested that he would have remained at home if the delivery was imminent.
However, the 23-year-old Manchester United forward admitted that he has no Plan B to attend his wife's delivery.
"If something happened I am sure I will try and work something out but I have no plans at the minute," he said.
"Once we get to Friday, if I am over in Ukraine and the baby has already been born, there is no point going back," he added.
Since the England team will immediately fly back home after Saturday's match, Rooney will only be out of the country for just over 48 hours.
According to Coleen's due dates, any disruption to Rooney's professional schedule is likely to come when United visit CSKA Moscow. (ANI)
