17 killed, 55 hurt in Pak Punjab bus collision

Attock/Fateh Jhang (Punjab, Pakistan), Sep.18 (ANI): At least 17 people were killed while 55 others were wounded in a head-on collision between two passengers buses at the Pindi-Kohat road on Friday.

 

According to the Dawn, a passenger van carrying pilgrims who had gone to Gangol Sharif Danga Kharian for prayers on the eve of the 27th of Ramazan collided with another passenger van coming from Kohat which was on its way to Rawalpindi.

 

The collision took place at Bhal Saeedan railway crossing.

 

The passenger van coming from Kohat was completely destroyed in the accident.

 

The bodies of the dead and injured were retrieved after cutting parts of the ill fated buses.

 

The injured have been shifted to district headquarter hospital Fateh Jhang from where the critically injured people were shifted to different hospitals of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. (ANI)
