London, August 18 (ANI): Former 'Genesis' frontman Phil Collins has agreed to pay 25 million pounds in divorce settlement to his third wife Orianne Cevey, topping the 24.3 million-pound payout that was awarded to Heather Mills in her acrimonious split with Sir Paul McCartney.
Collins and Cevey, who ended their marriage after seven years, have been together for 12 years.
They have two children - Nicolas, eight, and Matthew, four.
This is not the first time that Collins has had to face a costly settlement, for he had paid his second wife Jill Tavelman 17 million pounds after finishing their relationship by fax in 1994.
Overall, the singer has paid out over 42 million pounds to his former wives, about a third of his 140 million-pound fortune.
His settlement came to light following the release of his accounts for his personal management company, Philip Collins Ltd.
The former 'Genesis' drummer met Miss Cevey on tour when she was just 22, and was working as a translator. He was still married to Jill at the time.
The couple, who have a 22 year age gap, set up home in Geneva, and were together for five years before their lavish three-day wedding in Lausanne, Switzerland, costing 300,000 pounds. (ANI)
