Malaysian Govt to train more Indian youth: Subramaniam
Kuala Lumpur, Sep. 7 (ANI): Malaysian Human Resources Minister Dr S. Subramaniam has said that the government has decided to provide professional training to more Indian youths in order to help them find employment.
Through partnerships with local private colleges, the ministry aims to create a pool of skilled workers and reduce dependence on foreign workers, he added.

Under the Train and Place programme, the ministry had allocated more than 1 million ringgits to Tafe College in Seremban to train 150 youths as mechanics and another 25 as installers for NGV systems.
"The 175 trainees will complete their training in November and will likely be employed in December," the Star Online quoted Dr Subramaniam, as saying.
He added that another 150 Indian students would be trained by the college in aircraft materials and workshop practices.
"During their four-month training, the trainees will be paid a monthly allowance of between 500 and 800 ringgits," he said, adding that more Indian youths, especially unemployed ones, should take up such training programmes offered by local colleges. (ANI)
