With social media, Jallikattu protest gets even larger
Chennai, Jan 19 (ANI): Crowds continued to swell as massive protests at the city's Marina Beach was observed demanding lifting of the ban on controversial bull-taming sport 'Jallikattu'. The support for the movement spread entirely through social media and word of mouth. The protest was entirely impromptu. At the Marina Beach, thousands braving the heat initially found getting food difficult, but later with appeals for food sent through social media, food packets started arriving along with volunteers.
