Villagers in Malkangiri demand adequate funds for expediting developmental work

Malkangiri, July 29 (ANI): Maintaining various welfare programmes have failed to yield benefits for the Maoist-infested Malkangiri district due to insufficient funds. Malkangiri, is one of the two districts worst affected by Maoist activities in Odisha. The Maoists, have worked systematically to consolidate their base and capacities in the district. Rural Development Expert, Ashutosh Mishra said that Malkangiri district is a house to the poor and innocent tribal, who have volumes of problems, but being a Maoist hot bed is a major worry. Meanwhile, villagers urged the Modi-led-Bharatiya Janata Party government to grand a special package for implementing development interventions in the area.
