Urdu writer Rahman Abbas returns Sahitya Academy Award in protest against Dadri incident
Mumbai, Oct 10 (ANI): After Nayantara Sahgal and Ashok Dalivya, Urdu Novelist Rahman Abbas has decided to return his Maharashtra State Urdu Sahitya Academy Award as a mark of protest against the Dadri lynching incident. Abbas said that the government should take actions against organizations or people who try to polarize our society. Earlier, noted writers Nayantara Sahgal and poet Ashok Vajpeyi had also returned their literary honours in protest against the Dadri incident and the death of noted scholar MM Kalburgi.
