Two killed as train hits school van in Jharkhand
Lohardaga, July 30 (ANI): At least two students were killed and four others suffered severe injuries when a train rammed into a school van at an unmanned railway crossing in Lohardaga district of Jharkhand on Thursday. The accident took place at around 7 am when a school van was crossing the railway track where a speeding train was coming. Eyewitnesses said that driver of van was playing loud music which muffled the sound of the approaching train alarm. The impact of the accident was so severe that the school van was completely mangled. The deceased and the injured were rushed to the nearest district hospital. Angry mob blocked a stretch of the railway track, asking the railway officials to take measures to avoid such accidents.
