Shimla hosts art festival promoting tradition and culture of state
Shimla, May 30 (ANI): Hill Town Shimla is hosting art festival which aims to promote young talent and provide artists an opportunity to showcase their works at a national level. Over 100 artists from arts schools in north Indian cities like Delhi, Jalandhar, Kurukshetra and Chandigarh are taking part in the three-day festival. Artists believe such festivals help in preserving the history, culture and tradition of the country for the generations to come. An artist said events like these create awareness about various art forms of the country. In the festival participating artists would also paint on the spot and brush Shimla in colours from different angles.
