Separatist leader calls for probe into recent gunmen attack in J and K
Srinagar, Kulgam, Sopore, May 28 (ANI): After United Jehad Council chief, Sayeed Salahudeen, denied the involvement of his group in the recent attack at a phone shop in Jammu and Kashmir, separatist leader Yasin Malik said a committee should be formed to probe the matter. Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a franchise store of state-run telecom service provider, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), in Sopore town on Monday (May 25) killing one person and injuring two others. Malik further accused the state chief minister, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, for not giving his organisation enough political space. He said that a 'jail bharo' (fill the jail) agitation led by him will be launched on Friday (May 29). Of late, militants have stepped up attacks in Kashmir targeting security men and key government installations.
