Security personnel nab a Maoist in Jharkhand

Giridih, May 06 (ANI): Police and the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have arrested a Maoist in Jharkhand. The arrested Maoist, Kunwar Yadav, belongs to the Maoists of Jharkhand Regional Bhakpa group and is booked under more than 24 cases of murder, arson, dacoit in Jharkhand and adjacent Bihar state. Yadav had come to Giridih to execute a crime, when acting on a tip-off security personnel nabbed him in a joint operation. The police have also recovered three cane bombs, detonators and other explosives from Yadav. The Maoists, also known as Naxals in India, have killed police and politicians and targetted government buildings and railway tracks in insurgent acts killing thousands since the 1960s.
