SILIGURI TURNS UP FOR POLL DESPITE THREAT FROM KLO
Five-phase Lok Sabha poll in West Bengal kick-started today. Fate of four constituencies of Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Cooch Behar and Alipurduar will be sealed in ballot box today. With the threat of Kamptapur Liberation Organisation still looming large despite the arrest of its operatives, deployment of central forces have been doubled to 118 companies across all the four constituencies including Darjeeling which covers the Siliguri district.
