SFI protests against Kerala govt over delay in publishing of school books
Trivandrum, July 06 (ANI): The Students Federation of India (SFI) on Monday staged a protest in Kerala against the state government over delay in the publishing of school books. The protest turned violent as clashes broke out between police and the agitators. The police resorted to baton charge and tear gas shelling to disperse the protestors. The protesters pelted stones at police personnel and destroyed a police ambulance. Textbooks are yet to be distributed to lakhs of school students in Kerala though it has been over a month since the schools have re-opened.
