Restoration of peace in Assam, top priority of govt, says Chidambaram
Kokrajhar, July30(ANI): Union Home Minister P Chidambaram has said that the government s top priority is to restore peace, and expedite rehabilitation of victims in the violence hit Assam. Chidambaram, who is on a two day visit of the state met victims of ethnic violence in the refugees camp in strife torn Kokrajhar district and assured them of all possible central assistance. Chidambaram also said that no fresh deaths or untoward incidents have been reported and best possible aid is being provided to the riots victims by both state and the central government.
