"March 2015 was a historic month in context of Information Technology. On one hand on 24th the Supreme Court of India, in the landmark case of “Shreya Singhal v/s Union of India” struck down Section 66A of IT Act, 2000which allowed arrests for posting offensive content on social media sites as being constitutionally invalid and on the other hand within next three days TRAI puts up on its website a consultation paper titled‘Consultation Paper On Regulatory Framework for OTT Services’ in a quiet unannounced manner.
This announcement of TRAI on 27th March trolled the ‘netizens’ of India leading to a huge unrest.
