RBI INTEREST RATE CUT BY 25 BPS, SENSEX CROSSES 30,000 MARK
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has lowered its policy repo rate by 25 basis points from 7.75 per cent to 7.5 per cent today, delivering its second cut this year on the back of easing inflation and a government commitment to fiscal discipline. As a result the Sensex opened at record high 30,000.
