President termed returning of awards spontaneous form of protest, claims Ashok Vajpeyi
New Delhi, Nov 26 (ANI): Renowned poet Ashok Vajpeyi on Thursday claimed that President Pranab Mukherjee believes the return of awards or 'award-vapasi' is a way of protest and that the decision by various artists and academicians in India to return their honours was evidently spontaneous. A delegation of writers, artists and academics who had gone to meet the President and submit a resolution in the wake of writers' returning awards and registering their protest against the rising intolerance.
