PM Modi takes stock of progress in infrastructure projects
New Delhi, May 03 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting on infrastructure sector in New Delhi. The meeting focused on specific sectors like rural infrastructure, power, coal, renewable energy and petroleum and natural gas. PM Modi took stock of the pending infrastructure projects and was apprised of steps being taken to augment infrastructure creation in the country. He also gave directions for precise data to be collected with regard to his ambitious projects such as toilets, affordable housing and smart cities. He further emphasised on the need for creation of waste management systems in 500 cities. Modi directed that the highest importance should be accorded to Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY). PMKSY seeks to ensure water supply to farmers for irrigation round the year.
